It is often said that people miss opportunity because they didn't prepare for it.
But is it possible that while you are preparing for something else entirely, opportunity opens up for something else entirely?
In this scenario, what would be your course of action?
Would let an opportunity slide simply because it is not what you had prepared?
By my definition, opportunity is a set of circumstance that makes it possible to do something.
It is an unanticipated chance or avenue for advancement or success.
That definition doesn't necessarily mean you must be prepared to do something.
What it means is that, the circumstance, makes it possible to do something.
In other words, a circumstance can turn, make or train a farmer to become a pilot, a musician, a politician, a medical doctor.
A lot of people have not made progress because they were blind and too rigid to attempt something other than what they originally planned or prepared for.
A lot of times, opportunity has passed people by, not because they weren't prepared, but because they failed to grab the opportunity because it wasn't what they prepared for.
A lot of people have prospered simply because, while they were on a particular course, they took advantage of something different from what they were doing at the time.
A lot of times, a new opportunity has the potentials of assisting you to implement your original goal.
Life is meant to be lived and explored. Life is never meant to be tied to a stake.
It so okay to have a goal, but it is also okay to be flexible enough to try something new.
Don't just stay rigid. When an opportunity opens for something new, give it a try.
Learn to do something different in order to get a different result.
Dare to change your opinion, perspective, orientation in order to experience something new.
Never let an opportunity go, because, you never know the difference it can make in your life.
